Fr. Mark writes
:- Being a Christian is not a part time occupation. If we doubt
that, we have only to look at Jesus in today’s Gospel.
He cures those closest to Him. The news gets out and a crowd
gathers around Him looking for healing themselves. Having attended
to their needs, He goes off to a lonely place to spend time
in prayer. But He is not to be left in peace. Simon Peter calls
Him, “Everybody is looking for you.” Immediately,
Jesus is up and about to preach the Good News, not only in the
locality but also
throughout Galilee “because that is why I came.”
Jesus is unstinting in His time and effort in fulfilling His
Father’s will, in being there for others. We are meant
to imitate His example.

The organizers offer their heartiest thanks to everyone
who supported our Bring & Buy. Especially for the
excellent sale items you provided. We raised just over
£ 341.00 for the new Church at Walsingham. We
thank too, the helpers for their hard work, also the
kind people who gave such generous donations. Thank
you all.
God our loving Father,
who made us your children
in baptism, pour out on us afresh the gifts of your
Holy Spirit.
Open our ears to
hear your Word,
open our hearts to
you in prayer,
that we may receive
with ever deeper faith the
Bread of Life.
Strengthened through
these gifts
make us signs of
your presence
