Fr. Michael writes:- Jesus
wanted his disciples to realize that they were branches of the
same vine, and that therefore they should form a community of
love. There should be no such thing as a solitary Christian.
Often we, Christ’s followers, live and act as if we had
nothing in common. Yet it is Christ himself who invites us.
It is in him that we become one. His life is the “sap”
that gives life to us the branches, by the bond that exists
between us. Of course this is the ideal, but surely it is what
the modern world is most in need of.
Welcome
A big welcome to Bishop Alan Hopes who is with us today
to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation for 44 members
of our Parish Community.
Many congratulations to the 44 young people who are
taking this important step in their lives today. Please
pray especially for them. Grateful thanks to Fr. Mark
and the catechists who have prepared our young people
for the sacrament.
