Fr. Michael writes:-Today’s Gospel shows Jesus present with his disciples in a boat in the midst of a storm. In the same way we believe that Jesus accompanies us on our journey to God, that he is “on board” with us. Sometimes we see such disorder and chaos around our world, we might wonder if Jesus has chosen to sleep – even though we know that his presence is no insurance against our own fear and anxiety. To journey with Jesus is to journey through storms, not around them. Our peace will at times be
disturbed. But, we know that the disciples of Jesus went on to face shipwreck and hardship and rejection. Ultimately, many of them came face to face with a violent death and martyrdom. What kept them going is what keeps us going: a strenuous belief that Jesus is Lord of all chaos, a stubborn faith which tells us that there is no storm that will not be stilled at last by the peace of his presence.
First

Today is the last Sunday for First Holy Communions. Thank you to all the parents and children for lovely celebrations over the past three weeks. Grateful thanks also to the flower ladies for providing floral displays and to the catechists for their hard work and dedication over the year in preparing the children for First Confessions and First Holy Communions.
Congratulations Congratulations to all the children being baptized this afternoon – to Joe Reade; Charles Henderson; Evie-Grace Dennis; Ciara Davies; Rose Madden and Louise O’Neill. Congratulations to Graham Stack and Natalie Rybinska who were married here in our Church yesterday (Saturday).

God our loving Father,
who made us your children
in baptism, pour out on us afresh the gifts of your
Holy Spirit.
Open our ears to
hear your Word,
open our hearts to
you in prayer,
that we may receive
with ever deeper faith the
Bread of Life.
Strengthened through
these gifts
make us signs of
your presence
to the world of today.
Father, hear our
humble prayer
through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen
Change of date –

Many people have said that June, because of many commitments, is not a good time to hold the Summer Masked Ball. Black Ties; welcome drink; buffet supper; super raffle; photographer available. Dancing until 11.30 pm then carriages. Tickets

Parish Talk
We conclude our series on the moral teaching of John Paul II with someone who has really put the Gospel of Life into practice. Clare McCullough set up the Good Counsel Network in a flat in Earl’s Court nine years ago offering help to young women to keep their babies. In that time she and other volunteers have seen 3,000 young women and, through prayer and God’s grace, helped save hundreds of lives. Come and hear her remarkable story at 8.00 pm this Tuesday in the Hesdin Hall.
Parish Picnic The Parish Picnic will take place on Sunday 16th July as arranged from 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm. Five a side competitions; rounders; fun races for all ages. Bring your own picnic to College Fields behind Eastcote Hockey Club. Licenced Bar will be available and toilet facilities of the Hockey Club.
