Feast of the Epiphany

Fr. writes:When the wise men found Jesus they “opened their treasures, offering him gold, frankincense and myrrh”.  Then having worshipped him, “they returned to their own country by another route”.  When we find Christ and offer our love to him, he will help us to open up the treasures of goodness that lie buried inside us, so that we can offer “gifts” to our brothers and sisters, especially those
who are poor like Christ was.  And having met Christ and heard his Gospel, we will travel through life by a different route.  We will have different attitudes, values and goals.  It is impossible to encounter Christ without it affecting the way we live.  We who have seen the light of Christ are obliged to make known his presence to the ends of the earth.  This we do not only by preaching the glad tidings of his coming, but above all by revealing him in our lives.
