Coffee Lounge / Hesdin Hall / Warrender Room
Just to remind you that if your group uses the Coffee Lounge / Hesdin Hall / Warrender Room you should leave all facilities, particularly the kitchen, clean. All lights should be switched off (also toilet lights) and windows of Hesdin Hall closed and door from Coffee Lounge to yard locked. This does require effort from all who use our facilities.

If you put a poster on the noticeboard please take it down when the date is past.
Help keep our Church Clean
Every Monday morning we have two Church Cleaners who spend much time in the Church cleaning up food, drink and other items from the benches and floor of the Church. A good parish resolution for 2007 might be to endeavour to keep our Church clean if you bring food and drink to Mass and also to return hymn books at the end of Mass.

Fr.Michael writes:We all need a place to belong to and people we can call our own. Usually we call that “home” where you are accepted in love for who you are, but also encouraged to become the person you could be. Perhaps the last people to accept our changes are those who live with us: they’re so used to the old ways they can’t believe in real change.
Jesus had to leave home to become the person his Father wanted him to be. He couldn’t rely on his own folks to foster his new life and new mission. So, he,
established a community, a body of people, who would recognize as St. Paul says their need of each other. That’s us. We’re home for each other, pledged to support the growing life of the Spirit in each of us. In this gathering here everyone should feel welcome, and everyone should have the freedom to grow. Welcome home.
Welcome
On Sunday 4th February at 10 am we welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon who will attend Mass and meet people afterwards for coffee in the coffee lounge. They are most welcome.
Planned Giving Envelopes
If you are new to the parish and would like a box of planned giving envelopes when we begin the new boxes in April for 2007 / 2008 please take a form from the table in the porch. If you would like to pay direct on Bankers Order or would like to gift aid you may use the same form. You may of course wish to change from a box of envelopes to Bankers Order or increase the amount you are giving to the Church. If so, please use one of the forms on the porch table and return it to the Presbytery.

St. Martin’s Churchyard
When approached our parish has made a financial contribution to St. Martin’s Church in recognition of the fact that some of our parishioners are located in the New Cemetery. The old churchyard is maintained by volunteer labour but the new churchyard has had to be contracted out for many years. Should you have a relative buried in the new churchyard and would like to make a contribution towards maintenance then I would welcome any cheques payable to "St. Martin’s Church" and I will forward them to the Treasurer along with the parish contribution.
