Marriage Preparation Course

A Marriage Preparation Course will take place here in our parish on Saturday 31st March at 2.00 pm4.00 pm.  If you wish to apply for a place on this course please, contact Fr. Agustin.

Hesdin Hall

Hesdin Hall carpet has been cleaned for the cost of £231.90.  The floor has been cleaned and resealed for the cost of £250.  The Company has told me that the carpet was thick with a sticky substance and the floor with grains of sand.  To keep our hall nice & clean it would be good if those who use the hall for children's groups would refrain from using sticky substances and sand.  Groups using the hall should see that it and the kitchen and toilets are all left clean and tidy.

Sacred Heart Catholic School Auction of Promises
Sat. 24th March (7.30 pm – 11.30 pm) in Hesdin Hall

Please can you contribute some of your time, labour, talent or belongings to the Sacred Heart School’s Auction of Promises?  This could be in the form of an hour’s gardening, cooking a meal, babysitting or use of a holiday home which will then be auctioned to the highest bidder.  The funds raised will go towards making the new school building and play areas the best possible for the young children of the parish.  Of course you might just like to come along on the evening and bid for some of the wonderful lots.  If you can help please send your name and telephone number to the school office for the attention of Caroline Byrne, Chairperson, Sacred Heart Catholic School, Herlwyn Avenue, Ruislip, HA4 6EZ.  Thanking you in anticipation of your support.

2nd Sunday of Lent

Fr.Michael writes:The Transfiguration in today’s Gospel is not a solitary event.  Throughout his public ministry Jesus transfigured many people, the broken, the wounded and the wayward.  He called to the depths of the person and transfigured him or her by the power of God’s love, the same power that transfigured Jesus himself.  We can understand the transfiguration better when we ask:  what would it take to transfigure us?  What would it take to transfigure the people we know?  In our Lenten journey we are asked to
transfigure ourselves and each other by the power of God’s love in us.  We are all therefore called to the ministry of transfiguration.
