Fr. Michael writes:Today is the Feast of Corpus Christi when we remember the mystery of the Holy Eucharist which Jesus gave to his disciples at the Last Supper. The celebration and worship of the Eucharist enables us to draw near to God’s love and to persevere in that love until we are united with the Lord whom we serve. We should try to understand that in the Holy Eucharist, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, comes to meet us and desires to be one with us. When we receive the Body of Christ we are united with him so that his presence strengthens us in holiness. May that presence of the Body and Blood of Jesus always lie at the heart of our parish community and at the heart of our faith.
