Fr. Agustin writes: This 4th week of Advent will last just for a few hours, tomorrow evening we will celebrate Christmas; the birth of Christ; the coming into this world of the Holy Son of God. For those of us who know our need of salvation, redemption and healing the coming of the Son of God is an event of an enormous importance. When Christ took flesh, the love of God took flesh as well; it became visible, something we can see and touch. In Jesus Christ, God’s love has
become flesh and bones. He is the heavenly bridegroom who by taking human flesh has united his divinity with our humanity in a mystical marriage. He becomes man to raise us up and enable us to share in God’s divine nature. Tomorrow, the Church will celebrate the birth of Christ in the darkness of Christmas Night to show us that there is no darkness in our own life which cannot be ruptured by the light of Christ. Let us welcome this light that came into the world at Bethlehem and reached us here in our parish bringing us hope and healing.
Many thanks
A big thanks to the ‘YCAP’ members who so wonderfully led the singing and the services during the Youth Mass last Sunday. Thank you to the youth leaders and to all who came to support our Youth Group.
Many thanks to all the Groups who took part in our Parish Carol Service last Sunday. It was a wonderful occasion and lovely to see a packed Church. Thanks to the U.C.M. for the mulled wine and mince pies in the Hall afterwards.
