Grateful thanks to our Social Committee for a very successful Irish Night last Saturday and to all who came along.  A total of £1224.00 has been raised in profit, towards Hesdin Hall toilets refurbishment.  Well done everyone.

Evening Masses

There will be no Tuesday or Thursday evening Masses for two weeks.  Please note.

A.P.F.

Peter Sinclair, our parish A.P.F. Secretary, has informed me that since the start of the A.P.F. year on 1st November, he has banked
£ 1721.16 on behalf of Ruislip promoters.  That is a tremendous effort and response. You will remember we appealed a year ago for new red box members.  If anyone else would like a red mission box to save money at home for the missions, please contact Peter Sinclair.

Easter Sunday

Fr. Agustin writes: :  Today in union with the whole Church throughout the world we proclaim that Christ is Risen, Alleluia!  Yes, He is Risen for you and for me.  This is the faith of the Church we have come to proclaim on this Sunday as the Easter Alleluias resound all through the world.  Christ is Risen for us and that is the cause of our joy.  During the fifty days ahead of us Christ comes searching for each one of us, he wants to share his victory with us, he wants to connect his risen life with our lives, he wants to touch all those who need to be raised from the
death of past mistakes, broken relationships, sins, guilt, hate… with the Risen Christ we can pass from slavery to freedom; from sin to grace.  The power which raised Christ from the dead, can raise us too.  His rising is indeed our rising.  We want to wish you all a very Happy Easter!

YCAP

The Parish Youth Group will next meet on Sunday 6th April.  If you are between the ages of 13 & 18 please come along and join them in the Coffee Lounge between 7.00 pm & 8.30 pm.

Marriage Preparation Course

Will take place here in our parish on Saturday 12th April in the Hesdin Hall from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm.  If you wish to apply for a place on this course, please contact Fr. Agustin.

Confirmation

Session 9, takes place on Tuesday 22nd April at 7.30 pm.  Candidates are expected in the Hesdin Hall at 7.25 pm.

Planned Giving Envelopes

This weekend again the new boxes of envelopes for planned giving are available in the porch.  They should not be used until the weekend 5th / 6th April.  Please take a few minutes to collect your box.  If you are new to the parish or would like a box of envelopes, or to join the Gift Aid scheme, or would like to pay by Banker’s Orders, please fill in the form on the clipboard and we will arrange your request.

Parish Finances

If you took and completed a form re: Parish Finances, please return it to the box on the table in the porch.  Forms are still available in the porch with the following suggestions if you can help.

  • Maybe those who are not part of Planned Giving would consider taking a box of weekly envelopes.
  • Those who gift aid might increase their contribution.
  • Those who do not gift aid would consider joining by signing a form and paying a regular amount by either envelopes or Bankers Orders.
  • Many more might consider paying by monthly Bankers Order.

Session on Welcoming Diversity

The diocese invites all catechists to a study session, Welcoming Diversity – designed to look at the basic skills and knowledge we need to understand and deal with diversity in the parish catechetical setting.  Your nearest session will take place on Tuesday 15th April at Most Sacred Heart Ruislip.  Please check the diocesan website for other locations if this one is not convenient www.rcdow.org.uk/evangelisation - booking is essential on 020 7798 9150 or email catadminrcdow.org.uk.  I encourage all catechists to attend this session.
